About Us

Born in 1943 Mike Lewin (Managing Director) has always been on the inside of the film, television and stage world.

At the age of ten he was busy as an actor making films with the likes of Joan Crawford, John Mills and all the leading actors of the day.

Working through stage school in most tv series that were popular in the day such as Crossroads, Z cars, Softly Softly, all the way through to the Sweeney and Avengers, while taking on board all the sitcoms from Man about the House, George and Mildred and many others, he still found time for many theatre roles from Shakespeare to West End stage shows such as Robert and Elizabeth.

Being an actor, mainly in the television world he had a unique opportunity to study and analyse what made a program tick and he put these skills to use when he decided to swop sides of the camera and run his own production company.

Set up over 25 years ago Emel Video Productions soon became a big success with Mike offering each and every customer the tailor made program they wanted but had no idea how to make themselves.

Every production is under the direct control of Mike, from concept, filming and editing.

The middle man is limited to freelance employees with Mike staying firmly in charge at every step.

The most important stage is in the edit, where Mike is the only person with the hands on control.

Since giving up the acting profession Mike has made training tapes, promotional tapes, event tapes for the huge blue chip companies right down to the one man bands.

All have benefited greatly from the video treatment for their companies.
